Create your supervisory team

  • Your supervisory team should include at least two academic supervisors.
  • You can draw on supervisory expertise from across the eight universities that comprise M4C. This allows you to find the perfect supervisory team for your project within a single university or across institutions.
  • Where relevant, your supervisory team may also include a member from a non-university partner organisation, for example from the cultural, creative or heritage sector.
Search tips
  • This is not an exhaustive list of potential supervisors. We also encourage applicants to visit departmental websites at the M4C partner universities for a comprehensive list of M4C supervisors.
  • Search on key words that reflect your broad research area - for example music, creative writing, Victorian literature, Roman archaeology etc.

  • Search multiple times and test different permutations - for example medieval, Shakespeare, Richard III etc.

  • Search similar terms - for example civil rights and civil society; postcolonial and transnational; coins and numismatics etc.

  • Search for methodologies and approaches - for example interdisciplinary, feminist, digital, creative, working-class, political etc.

If you have a question about the combination of expertise that you seek, don't hesitate to  contact us.
