In honour of the UK hosting COP26, UKRI would like the stories in this year’s competition to focus on the link between the climate crisis and the food system. UKRI are keen to reach as many forward-thinking early career researchers from as many different disciplines as possible, to reflect the breadth of different approaches to tackling the climate crisis through the food system (supporting behaviour change, linking health challenges, biological advancements, environmental management, mathematical modelling, engineering, etc.).
What: ‘Speak Up for Food Security’ research storytelling competition
The prize: A 2-day virtual research storytelling masterclass taught by Clare Murphy, and a chance to present in the public-facing Final “Food vs. Climate: Five Stories for Change” as part of UKRI’s virtual COP26 programme.
Who: UKRI council-funded PhDs and post-docs from any discipline who can link their research (directly or indirectly) to the food security challenge and the climate crisis
Closes: Sunday 5th September 2021
