Thesis title:
At Home In Coventry 1945 - 1975
My research focuses on the social spatialization of home in post-war Coventry, examining the dialectic between public and private conceptions of home in the aftermath of The Second World War.
My thesis ‘At Home in Coventry’ – a project working in partnership with The Herbert Museum & Art Gallery – seeks to ascertain what ‘home’ meant to the diverse populations of post-war Coventry; querying the significance of public art, civic architecture, and material culture to the provisioning of home in the post-war period.
