Thesis title:

Recontextualisation and Translators' Subjectivity: the Chinese Feminist Translations of A Room of One's Own across a Century

My project examines the recontextualisation and representation of Virginia Woolf’s feminist and gender ideas in the Chinese translations of A Room of One’s Own and Orlando in relation to the socio-political contexts in which they were published.
