September 2025 - presented at the University of Birmingham's 'Dialogues of Nonconformity' conference, delivering a paper on the influence of denominational identity on the making of marriage across three families during the late eighteenth-century - the Quaker Shackletons, Unitarian Carrs and the Catholic Jerninghams. 

May 2025 - participated in the Institute of Historical Research's long-eighteenth century seminar's 'Lightning Talks' event for early-stage PhD students.

May 2025 - Presented at the University of Warwick's Postgraduate conference, delivering a paper exploring the marriage of Congregationalist Rebekah Bateman (nee Clegg) and her husband Thomas Bateman. 

May 2024 - Presented at the University of Warwick's Postgraduate Conference, speaking about representations of rape in the Old Bailey courts, 1675-1750. 

September 2022 - Presented at the International Conference of Undergraduate Research, speaking about my Undergraduate Research Support Scheme project: 'Cobwebs and DIY Feminist Media of the '80s and '90s'. 

Public Engagement & Impact


  • Summer 2023 - Awarded 'Best Overall' in the Faculty of Arts Annual Digital Showcase Competition for Students for my a zine entitled 'Cobwebs and DIY Feminist Media of the '80s and '90s' (read it here).
  • March 2023 - Gave a talk about my Cobwebs zine as part of the University of Warwick history department's Women's History Month celebrations.
  • Summer 2022 - Created the above-mentioned zine for my Undergraduate Research Support Scheme project.
