I am a first year PhD student at the University of Nottingham studying Music Composition. This collaborative doctoral award with the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall (TRCH) in Nottingham aims to look at how the theatre’s archives can be explored and made accessile through portable children’s musical theatre with mixed reality integration. The theatre’s long history of pantomime, pantomime’s idiomatic need for audience interaction and the interactive possibilities of mixed reality have shaped the first portion of my research.

The result of this project will be the production of a portfolio of original compositions to be performed at various schools around Nottingham.
