Thesis title:

NEVER AGAIN? The Challenges of Prevention under the Genocide Convention

My research will explore the legal challenges of genocide prevention under the UN Genocide Convention (1948). The purpose of the Convention is to ‘punish and prevent’ what is sometimes called ‘the crime of crimes’. Is the axiom ‘never again’ merely a slogan that can never be enforced under international law?
