Your archives and heritage sector needs you!
The course is free to attend.
Training sessions will be hosted at Serendipity in Leicester.
There will also be an overnight stay in London with the opportunity to visit and hear from speakers at the Stuart Hall Library, Tate Britain and the Museum of London Docklands.
Sessions cover topics on digital archives, oral history, copyright essentials, leadership, marketing, technology and audiences.
There will be an opportunity to explore how heritage organisations are representing African and African Caribbean cultures and how these cultures shape British identities.
Applicants must be available for the duration of the course, Monday 14 October – Friday 18 October 2024.
Applicants must have an enthusiasm and interest in archives and the heritage sector.
Applicants must be between 18-30 years old at the point of applying.
Applicants are actively welcomed to apply who have a disability, and are from under-represented groups in the heritage sector, including applicants w African and African Caribbean, Asian or Latinx heritage.
