AHRC ISP – International Placement Scheme 2024

Huntington Library, California, US

Library of Congress, Washington DC, US (ESRC students may apply for this opportunity)

National Institutes for the Humanities, Japan

Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC, US

You will receive £1,000 for travel and visa costs and £1,925 for each month of the fellowship. Fellowships last between 2 and 6 months.

Applicants will be asked to apply using the UKRI Funding Service. Please take some time to read the detailed instructions at ‘How to apply’ (and attached). Once you have looked at the information available for the institutions, you will also need to directly contact the relevant International Placement Scheme (IPS) institution to discuss your potential application and for information about the collections.  There will be an information webinar, date to be confirmed.

Your home university may have an internal deadline or process please contact your Site Directors or Research Office to find out.
