Thesis title:

The Cult of Henry VI: Medieval Memory, Sainthood and Kingship

My thesis looks at the cult of Henry VI and attempts to understand how and why such an abjectly woeful king was so venerated after his death. It investigates the large list of miracles supposedly wrought in his name and attempts to understand the social and cultural background of those pilgrims who travelled to his burial sites.
