Locating Regional Cultures of Drag in Medium-Sized English Cities: An Ethnographic Case Study of Nottingham's Drag Scene

My project explores the socioeconomic dimensons of regional drag performance scenes in the Midlands, sitting between theatrical, sociological and gender-based research.

- Public Presentation around an article being published within the MAKINGS Journal in the near future, titled: 'Entrepreneurial "Insta-Drag": An Analysis of Nottingham Based Drag Performers' Social Media Profiles'. Facilitated by the editing board of MAKINGS and based in Birminhgam. 26/05/2021.  

- Presentation in a Research Relay at the M4C Research Festival also based around the same article for MAKINGS. This presentation is titled: 'Instagram and the Entreprenurial Self-Branding of Nottingham Drag Performers'. (Online). 08/06/2021. 

- Public Presentation introducing the Doctoral Researcher's PhD project to former colleagues and lecturers from the Researchers previous University (BA Hons and MA) at the University of Lincoln. Held as part of the University's Festival of Creativity. Based in Lincoln. 09/06/2021.
